As Moses, their constant leader for these 40 years, prepares to die, he anoints JOSHUA, as the new leader. When Moses led the Hebrews through the parted Red Sea, Joshua saw his family brutally killed, an act, which drove him to become one of the greatest Hebrew warriors. Joshua’s faithful warriors include: CALEB BEN JEPHUNNEH (Late 30’s), who is arrogant and constantly debating with Joshua- CHAIM (Early 40’s), who is skilled in warfare, specializing in the use of the javelin- AVRAHAM (Early 20’s), who is skilled as an archer- YITZHAK (50), who oversees the use and care of the chariots- and YOSEF (17), who wants to be a soldier.

Moses warns Joshua that he can not face every battle, with a sword in hand- Joshua must be smart. Joshua assumes control and they prepare to cross a raging river, in order to approach the fabled city of Jericho. History has recorded that Jericho has never been taken by an enemy force, as the walls are massive and the city, built inside, has been fortified to outlast the longest siege.

After returning spies report that the people inside Jericho are brutal and there is no possible way to defeat their defenses, Joshua receives a divine message that the people should march around the city. After marching around the walls and witnessing the walls collapse, Joshua leads his warriors into the city, in order to defeat the enemy and establish the Hebrew people in their promised land.
